For decades, historians at private clubs around the world have kept the artifacts, records and photographs of their courses. This is where that work is gathered.
On the collective
Nearly every club has a historian. Until now, none of them had a shared record.
The Historians Archive has existed informally for decades as correspondence between the people entrusted with their club's past — the newspaper files, the artifacts in the case behind the pro shop, the notes on why the fourteenth green was moved in 1951. This site is the digital footprint that work never had: a curated selection of the material, published with the clubs' permission.
